Flat and hollow strands
Flat and hollow strands
These flat and hollow strands are also produced on our own production lines.
As a standard we use machines with 16, 24 or 32 carriers.
Here the material is wound up several times.
The materials we frequently use for the sheathing are rayon, cotton, artificial silk, foil spun, metal spun and even fine wires.
The variety of colours is almost unlimited.
Here the customer’s template or personal taste is decisive.
The flat strands are made as a flat construction on a lace-making machine, while the hollitz is made as a round construction at the beginning and no inlay is incorporated.
A hollow strand is later flat-rolled using an appropriate flattening device.
As a rule, flat and hollow strands are used for uniform effects for trimmings on collars or sleeves.
