Cords
Cords
Today there is an unmanageable number of different cords models.
The simplest ones are only made of one round cord.
The more elaborate and filigree the braiding becomes, the more time is needed for the handicraft production.
The number of loops and braids also plays a big role.
As a rule, the cord is worn with or without metal tips.
Before making it, it should be clarified with the customer whether the cord is on the left or right shoulder.
So that we can produce the braid in the right way.
Particularly high-quality king cords are even worn around the neck.
The German Armed Forces have only a few cords in use, these are for representative purposes (adjutants of officers or generals).
Suitable materials are braided round cords made of cotton or viscose and different coloured foil spun.
Particularly high-quality variants are still made of copper wire silvered/gold-plated with metal spun.
The military authorities on this earth usually wear less and less cords, although these products are still frequently used for representative uniforms for military and police.
