Headwear
Headwear
Most of today’s headgear is historically accentuated.
We distinguish between four different types:
Summer hats
These hats are made of ribbon or similar materials, so the hat is usually smooth.
For this reason the hat is usually only one color, but still very popular with women.
Lufthansa hostesses today wear the pilbox “with great pride”.
“Shuttle”
The elongated headgear can be sewn from standard uniform fabrics.
For decoration and embellishment we use soutache, paspol, embroideries and braid bands.
We make the structure of the decoration according to the customer’s wishes.
Military units in Europe still use the “shuttle”.
In the Asian region you can find especially beautiful and colorful “boats”.
berets
The berets are knitted articles made of high-quality wool.
Sometimes synthetic elements are already used in knitting.
The beret is made with an inner lining and an appropriate cord and a finish, which is usually leather.
To accommodate the emblem of the beret, supports and covers are placed on the inside.
For example, the Belgian and German armies have high-quality berets in daily use.
Caps
This is a classic form of hat and is still used all over the world.
It usually combines uniform fabrics and newer materials.
A classic hat consists of many elements.
For example, hand-embroidered caps or cap badges can enhance the appearance.
Metal buttons and cap bands are also possible, and in most cases cap bands are added as well.
